OBJECTIVES 01. Establish & foster a cohesive, dynamic & cooperative Nepali Society in the Waikato region. 02. Provide education, counseling & other support services to Nepalese immigrants. 03. Celebrate, preserve and promote Nepali festivals, cultures, literature and traditions. 04. Educate the public on Nepali cultures, languages, traditions and geography. 05. Perform activities for the physical, intellectual, spiritual & social development of the community members. 06. Support human development activities in Nepal & New Zealand. 07. Support charitable activities aimed for social works in Nepal & New Zealand. 08. Create helpline for the Nepali society liaising with all NZ communities. ACTIVITIES 01. To organize social gatherings periodically in the form of picnics, potlucks & interaction programs. 02. To celebrate Nepali festivities and New Year in accordance with Nepali Calendar. 03. To run Nepali cultural class and educate children on Nepali language, cultures & traditions. 04. To participate and present Nepali culture, tradition & festivities in various shows & competitions held in New Zealand & abroad. 05. To acquire funds through New Zealand Government funding institutions. 06. To organize fundraising events like movie nights, cultural nights, talent shows, celebrity nights, raffles etc. 07. To organize yoga, meditation, aerobics, Zumba and sports events. 08. To provide appropriate support to the community during difficult times like accidents, sickness etc. 09. To welcome newcomers & support them in establishment & socialization in Waikato. 10. To bid farewell to members departing from Waikato region for good. 11.
